Starting as it means to go on, the new single from Suffolk-born, London-based DJ and producer Gerry Read instantly brings the good vibes. Constructed from snippets of disco-y guitar, percussive rhythms and stringy analogue synth sounds, processed vocal samples punctuate the tune, added dynamics to its predominantly linear structure.  Despite its unusual and somewhat down on itself title, 'Shit Cant Make Anything' is everything we need to welcome in the weekend, balancing dance floor filling feels with enough weirdness to keep things interesting. Read explains: “I hope you enjoy this tune as much as I didn’t enjoy making it. Nobody seems to remember the track title but that might be because it’s non-sentence and named of an ableton project folder.
